Aaaaah...Ouch!

We happily arrived in Ayuthaya around noon today and found a lovely guest house that feels like a 5 star hotel! We have AC, hot water showers, and even a mini-fridge. It's about $17-19 USD a night, we're loving it! We went on a boat tour of some wats tonight (Buddhist temples) and it was interesting to go by water. The ruins were impressive, but the others were mostly closed for the evening.

The river we were on was a sight to see in and of itself! It was so dirty and murky, that it actually looked like chocolate milk. The real problem is that all the sea food served here is most probably from that very river. Needless to say, I got a fried egg on rice for dinner... One of the grossest things was that there were quite a few Thai kids swimming and playing in the water. I didn't even want it to splash on me.

A highlight for the day-we had amazing pad Thai at a street restaurant, so amazing that Lewis had two plates.
