Starbucks has become a blessing, though it is rather unauthentic in Southeast Asia! Lewis loves his morning coffee, but around here we have yet to find a coffee shop or resturaunt that keeps pots of coffee. Even when it is advertised as regular coffee - really it's an americano. There are three basic options:
1) Americano in a very small cup (called coffee)
2) A tea bag of coffee with hot water poured over it just like if you were making tea. (called coffee)
3) Espresso shot (called coffee)
Given these choices, Lewis is always at a loss for what to do. We have tried asking if it will be real coffee before ordering, making hand motions that might describe a coffee pot, but really the people just nod and smile and say "yes, yes" and then we get one of the above options. Yesterday we found our first Starbucks since Kuala Lumpur, and Lewis was in heaven. I have not needed the tea from there as much because it has been pretty normal. It's usually Liption, and pretty weak, but often enough it's good.
