We are on our off-roading adventure across the island, and it is literally both off-road and adventurous! It is off road because, well, they haven't finished the road through the jungle! The adventure is coming in many parts-first, in the storm last night many trees fell over the road, so we have an obstacle course. Secondly- the truck just died.. So here we are in the middle of the road, having been told to find "big rock" for behind the tires. Now, maybe it's my arrogant Americanism, but it's a rain storm out there and he wants me to find a rock? How about him? We are paying 40 USD to get 8 km, which is a complete rip off, and I have to find the rocks??? Ok-so Lewis and the french guy we're sharing the ride with found some rocks and we sort of got going, but the truck keeps stalling... I think we'll make it because we're almost over the top of the hill, but the truck still keeps stalling and making noises that would have me calling AAA!
We arrived! Finally-and may I just say that a sports bra is recommended for this trip!
