After quite a bit of research, we finally made our plan and hit the train tracks this morning! We are on a train from the southern Thai border, going all the way up to Bangkok, where we'll get a train north to Auytthaya. We thought we'd soak up some culture and then go back to the beach for the end of Lewis's time here. The main catch is that we kind of thought we were hopping on a 12 hour train, and we have come to find out it's 22 hours-a bit more than planned. Good thing we paid the extra for a sleeper car with AC! We're mostly really glad to be back in Thailand!
