Driving around here (SE Asia) is an experience to be had. I imagine I feel much like a scuba diver amid a school of fish. The way the cars flow in and out of the lanes, pass each other no matter the circumstances, and tailgate within an inch of their life can only be compared to a school of fish. Blinkers are unnecessary. Buses pass each other while going uphill on two lane roads. Mothers and fathers wear helmets in motorcycles, while holding one or two bare headed children on their laps. It's phenomenal that accidents are so rare. And it's not as if they are without the cell phones that are often blamed, or the alcohol we see causing so many accidents. Really, the skill must be genetic. America would get it's butt kicked in the driving Olympics.
